Entrance requirements
- Completed academic studies of the second degree, at least 300 ECTS and the grade point average of at least 8; or
- completed academic studies of the second degree, at least 300 ECTS and at least one scientific paper published in an international journal from the SCI list; or
- the Master of Science degree obtained in the pre-Bologna system.
Study outcome
Upon completing the study program Biochemistry, the candidate is awarded the title "PhD in Biochemistry".
Access to further studies
Diploma holders can continue their education within postdoctoral research at Serbian or world universities and scientific research institutions.
Professional qualifications
Students who have successfully completed doctoral studies in biochemistry:
- are able to independently and proficiently conduct complex research within a team with the aim of solving relevant scientific problems from the field of biochemistry and related disciplines;
- are able to work with the latest instruments used in biochemistry research laboratories;
- are able to use their knowledge in practice, particularly in problem-solving and making new discoveries;
- are able to formulate hypotheses and design experiments to test them;
- are able to analyze a material and formulate concepts;
- can adapt to new situations and make decisions;
- are able to establish various types of scientific cooperation and communication in Serbian and English;
- are able to improve research and biochemical education and can be competent mentors to the students of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies.
