About Us

MicroProt Laboratory resulted from long-term scientific research activities and a series of innovation projects aimed at research, development, innovation and application in the field of biochemistry, biotechnology and analysis of food proteins and proteins important for biomedicine, as well as European research projects that monitor the impact of environmental pollution on human health. By decision of the Assembly of the Innovation Center of the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade, Ltd. at the session of February 19, 2021, the MicroProt Laboratory was established as a separate functional unit of the Center.

MicroProt Laboratory deals with the application and development of biochemical procedures for the characterization, production and isolation of proteins, as well as the study of microplastics. It is permanently determined to maintain high standards and quality in all its activities, and constantly improves its reputation and reputation. When testing samples, MicroProt Laboratory strictly follows the rules of good laboratory practice, using all the necessary resources.

MicroProt Laboratory has 4 sectors:

  1. Sector of protein isolation and production
  2. Proteomics sector
  3. Sector of microplastics
  4. Plastic oligomer synthesis sector

Management staff

The MicroProt Laboratory includes staff of the highest academic education and titles who work as teachers and researchers of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Belgrade, as well as collaborators of the Innovative Centre of the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade ltd. All team members, regardless of their work activities in the MicroProt Laboratory, perform tasks in research, teaching and innovative areas.
