  • Protein characterization
  • Determining the identity of peptides and proteins in different samples using proteomics techniques
  • Characterization by high-resolution mass spectrometry (Orbitrap LTQ and Exploris 240 mass spectrometers)
  • Quantification of total and individual proteins from mixed samples
  • Determination of mass, isoelectric point, secondary and tertiary structure of proteins (CD spectrophotometer JASCO J-815 and Spectrofluorimeter FluoroMax-4)
  • Recombinant protein production (Rotor-Gene Q, real-time amplification - RT-PCR)
  • Protein expression
  • Fermentation and cell culture (Bioreactor BIOSTAT Bplus 2L DW 230V)
  • Isolation and characterization of microplastics from different samples
  • Synthesis and labeling of nano- and microplastics
  • Targeted synthesis of small molecules and labeling with chromophores, fluorophores and stable isotopes (C13)

Micro and nano plastics - services

  • Isolation of microplastics from biological samples: seafood tissues.
  • Characterization of the isolated particles is done with the most modern µFTIR spectroscopy. Fluorescence microscopy is also used to quantify isolated microplastic particles.
  • Synthesis of plastic models and oligomers.

Products of MicroProt Laboratory

MicroProt laboratory offers proteins, enzymes, allergens and antigens of viral proteins of high purity, isolated from natural sources, or expressed by recombinant DNA technology. Many of the products from our range are not available on the market. Using a "bottom-up" synthetic approach, oligomers of plastic materials were obtained, which are new food contaminants for the development of methods for their quantification. As products, we can offer the following oligomers of polyethylene terephthalate (PET): monomer (1-1), 1,5-mer (2-1 and 1-2), dimer (2,2), 2,5-mer (3-2 and 2-3), as well as the trimmer (3-3). The ratio of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol is presented in parentheses.
