Hours of instruction:

Weekly: four hours of lectures (4+0+0)

Goals:

Introducing students to the basic mechanisms of biocatalysis and stabilization of biocatalysts by chemical modification and immobilization with the aim of applying them in non-aqueous media, organic syntheses, pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, biosensors, biofuel cells, enzyme-based logic circuits and nanobiotechnology.

Outcome:

Enabling students to use biocatalysts in real conditions in industry and in laboratories within scientific research.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, public presentation of the term papers.
