Weekly: five hours of lectures + three hours of study research work

Goals:

The objective of the course is to familiarize students with new processes and technologies being tested in order to be applied in wastewater treatment. The course will look at their advantages and limitations in the degradation of organic pollutants as well as the basics of reactor construction for the application of these processes.

Outcome:

Students are introduced to new technologies that are now a trend in water treatment research in addition to biotechnological and membrane processes.

  • Zerovalent iron nanoparticles and ferrates in advanced oxidation processes.
