Goals: |
Students will acquire essential knowledge of the nomenclature of organic and inorganic compounds. The course covers various types of the nomenclature of organic compounds, the nomenclature of acyclic, carbocyclic and heterocyclic compounds, the nomenclature of a large number of functional groups, the nomenclature of natural products and polymers. Furthermore, students will acquire knowledge of the nomenclature of organometallic and coordination compounds. |
Outcome: |
The acquired knowledge will be relevant for studying synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, environmental chemistry, for working in chemical education and state administration, etc. |
