1. Microbiology Laboratory
The Microbiology Laboratory is equipped for work with microorganisms under sterile conditions and features a wide range of instruments supporting various aspects of microbial research:

  • Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer (Arctiko, Denmark) – reaching -86°C, for biological sample preservation

2. Analytical Laboratory
The Analytical Laboratory is fully equipped for the separation, analysis, and identification of contaminants and organic compounds:

  • Soxhlet extraction apparatus (Food Alyt RS 60, Omnilab, Bremen, Germany)
  • Solid Phase Extraction (SPE)
  • Ultrasonic bath (Ultrasons HD, P-Selecta, Barcelona, Spain)
  • Rotary evaporator (RV06-ML, Ika Werke, Staufen, Germany)
  • pH meter, dissolved oxygen meter, and conductometer
  • HORIBA U-53G multiparameter water quality testing set – sensors for pH, ORP, DO, conductivity, salinity, TDS, temperature, turbidity, depth, and GPS coordinates
  • Analytical balance (Shimadzu, Kyoto, Japan)
  • UV-Vis spectrophotometer (UV-1280, Shimadzu, Kyoto, Japan)
  • Gas chromatographs and mass spectrometers:
    • GC×GC/MS (GCMS-QP2010 Ultra, Shimadzu, Kyoto, Japan)
    • GC-FID and GC-ECD (7890A Agilent, Santa Clara, USA) with headspace sampler (7697A Agilent, SAD)
  • Spectrophotometer PhotoLab 7600 UV-VIS (WTW, Germany), equipped with a Thermoreactor CR 3200 (WTW, Germany), used for photometric and thermochemical analyses of water and environmental samples.

3. Ecotoxicological Studies Laboratory
This laboratory is dedicated to acute toxicity testing using bioluminescent microorganisms (Aliivibrio fischeri):

  • BioFix® Lumi-10 luminometar (Macherey-Nagel GmbH & Co. KG, Düren, Germany) - for measuring changes in luminescence that indicate toxic effects.

4. Plant Cultivation Laboratory (Automated Vertical Gardening Facility), Living Lab “Symbiotika”, an innovative space showcasing sustainable biotechnologies, hydroponics, aquaponics, and regenerative agriculture
The Plant Cultivation Laboratory is designed for growing plants under controlled environmental conditions using both hydroponic and soil-based systems.
The facility allows precise automation and monitoring of key parameters:

  • Automated control of LED light intensity and duration
  • Regulation of temperature and humidity
  • Central control system for environmental management
  • Cultivation area: approximately 2 m2, optimized for efficient plant growth and research scalability
