Beškoski performed his basic studies in Biochemistry at the UB-FC. He
finished his Magister of Science thesis in 2006 and PhD in 2011 on study
of the activities of a consortium of zymogenous microorganisms in the
soil contaminated by crude oil and oil derivatives, and their application
in bioremediation. As Invited researcher, in 2014 he was working 10
months at the Kobe University, Japan conducting research on
biodegradation of persistent organic pollutants such as perfluoroalkyl
compounds (supported by Japan Society for Promotion of Science). Since
2011 he works as lecturer at the UB-FC (presently as Associate
Professor). He was project leader for two projects financed by Japan
International Cooperation Agency (2012 and 2014-2017). He is also a
project leader of national project III-43004 financed by Ministry of
Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia
and several projects financed by Ministry of Environment, Republic of
Serbia and UNDP. His field of research is environmental biotechnology,
microbial activities and their applications in bioremediation and
biohydrometallurgy. He is author of more than 40 articles in
peer-reviewed scientific journals and 3 book chapters.
